Old school waitresses (ask for Alice), jukebox full of Sinatra and Dean, red leather vinyl booths dedicated to the likes of Walter Winchell and Jack Webb.
Located in the Mid Wilshire district in the Gaylord apartment building across from the old Ambassador Hotel, this is my favorite bar in LA. Weekend nights, this place is too hip to be square which makes parking tough but the waitresses have been there forever, the barkeep makes good, stiff drinks, and the overall atmosphere makes me feel proud to call myself a “broad.”
